These emotional conditions, in turn, contribute to physical health concerns like digestive disorders, sleep disturbances and lack of energy. Emotional well-being refers to the quality of a person’s state of mind. When your negative emotions take up your thoughts, your mind gets frazzled and stressed affecting your everyday activities. Sadness and anxiety are normal emotions that happen to all the living beings which help to alert, protect, and cause us to act according to the situation. And this is often healthy because that is how we are! What becomes unhealthy is when the feelings take over and become irrational, distressing and interfere with lifestyle.

Your emotional health is the way you are feeling the moment — your overall happiness and well-being throughout the day. being stressed, unhappy, unsatisfied, worried and anxious all the day, then your emotional health needs some serious attention or else body will start paying for it.

Tips for emotional health

  • Spend some time in the sun in the morning and evening as it naturally increases Vitamin D which helps to produce Serotonin. Stop taking drugs for depression.
  • It’s OK to be lazy sometimes (Not all day though) because doing something that you enjoy is good
  • Healthy inside lead to health outside, watch your diet include more fruits, vegetables, nuts in your daily diet and stop consuming junk food
  • Get at least 8.5 hours of sleep. Go to bed by 10 PM at least and wake up early so that you have enough time for preparing the day. This helps to create expectation for a good day ahead.
  • Treat your senses with aromatherapy like scented candles, essential oil as it helps to relax you easily
  • Deal your emotions by being conscious of how you act and react
  • Do exercise regularly
