DIY Home remedies for Joint pain

Joint pain is a common problem. The causes are varied. It can cause due to injuries. Or even arthritis. While it’s best to consult a professional to clearly understand the causes, here are a few home remedies that will help provide some relief.

Ginger extract

The anti-inflammatory properties of ginger help to curb pain-causing chemicals. Take Ginger and finely chop it to take the extract from it and mix one tablespoon of coconut oil. Mix both in 2:1 proportion that is for 2 tablespoons of ginger extract take 1 spoon of coconut oil. Mix it well and apply on the pain area let it settle there for 15-20 minutes and then use a hot press.

Epsom salt bath/soak

Epsom salt bath or soaking the pain full part of your body in Epsom salt water helps to relieve pain. The sulfate in Epsom salt is absorbed through the skin and helps to reduce inflammation. Take a bowl and add half a cup of salt in the bowl and fill it with warm water and soak your painful joints in it for 15 to 20 minutes. If you have pain in multiple joints, add two cups of salt to your bathtub is a great idea.

Fenugreek

If you are looking for a quick remedy for knee pain, Soak 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds overnight. Strain and consume water. Make a paste with blended seeds and apply it on the knee. The anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of fenugreek work wonder in curing the pain.

Peppermint Oil

Peppermint has a cooling effect on sore and achy muscles because of the presence of menthol. When using essential oil always use a career oil to mix as the concentrated oil may irritate the skin.

Eucalyptus oil

Eucalyptus oil contains tannins (A compound present in leaves, wood, bark) that help alleviate the strain in the muscles and reduce swelling even of arthritis. Add a few drops of the oil in your bath which will help relax achy muscles with its soothing properties.
